Jill Fonder - Interior designer and owner since 2020

Jill Fonder - Interior designer and owner since 2020

I grew up in South Dakota. I’ve always been artistic, but I believe I had a passion for design since I was young, while helping my mom pick out wallpaper for our home and regularly rearranging the furniture. But after taking a class in high school, I knew it was my passion. I received my Interior Design degree at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, MN. My husband, Paul, and I have 2 adult children, Kayla and Logan. I have been working as a designer for more than three decades around SD area like Watertown and Pierre. I’ve lived and spent the last 20 years in the Aberdeen area. I specialize in Cabinet design, helping clients visualize design concepts by creating 2D and 3D renderings that reflect the finished space. I thrive to bring my clients ideas to life. I have always designed around the theory that, “It’s not about my style, It’s about yours” As a designer, I love the process most of all – turning those small initial ideas and desires into a beautifully completed and custom space.

I'm a lifelong South Dakota resident and outdoors enthusiast with a passion for helping customers. I've been in retail in the Aberdeen area since 1999. Over the last 20 years I have developed many long-lasting relationships with my clients and professional installers. Building strong bonds based on honesty, professionalism, and mutual respect for a great experience and result in your new home or remodeling project. I thoroughly enjoy explaining all of the features and benefits of products to our clients. Giving them a full understanding of what they are purchasing and how it fits their expectations. Together with Dave and Jill, our talents, experience, and passion, Interior Design Concepts is the premiere destination for all new construction and remodeling needs.

I have been working as an event designer and planner for over 20 years and have found success in transferring that passion into helping people realize the true potential in the spaces that surround them. I believe that the key to a good design and a great experience doesn’t begin with your choice of the right products, it begins with your choice of the right designer to help guide you through the process. Whether it’s new construction or a small remodel, a primary or secondary home, or even a personal office or business, listening to clients, taking their initial vision and creating a custom space that meets their needs is truly why I love coming to work each day. The design industry is ever changing and I pride myself in staying up on the latest products and options that are available to design the perfect space that is a true reflection of the individuals who utilize it. I am blessed to work for a community driven business that prides itself on creating genuine costumer relationships and truly believes that “Every Budget Deserves a Well-designed Outcome”.
