In 1973, Dave purchased the store with a partner and changed the name to D&D Paint and Frame. When the store was first started, it was located at 118 N Main.
When Dave's partner left in 1974, his wife Sheryl stepped in and helped Dave run the store until 2020. Throughout the years, the location has moved to 107 N. Main, 419 S. Main, 401 S. Main, and 523 S. Main.
In 2005, we decided to change our name to Interior Design Concepts to more accurately reflect the various types of products and services we offer.
In 2020, the business was sold to Jill Fonder. Dave and his wife were very pleased to find a buyer with IDC's core values of stellar customer service and a commitment to excellence. Dave agreed to stay on and work as a designer which is something he enjoys very much. The store moved to its newest location of 21 N Main St. in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
